Duck & Waffle

Service was exceptional, food was delicious. I ordeeed the birthday cake for our group and was to perfection, even big enough to share with the table next to us as it was one of their birthdays too.Our server Bruno was at the top of his game and perfect in every way attentive but not in your face wine and water glasses were regularly topped up 10 out of 10 to him

Duck and Waffle is one of those places you must try in Edinburgh! The food is stunning, cooked beautifully - and the atmosphere is also incredible! Vincenzo, our server, was superb and explained everything. Well worth booking in advance, and a great place for parties. Easily accessible and the lift up to the dining floor provides a nice view onto the street below!

Wonderful, tasty and everything you want out of a good dinner! I'd been travelling six hours, was starving and not even changed out my driving trainers, but still in my work clothes otherwise. I booked here on recommendation and i was not disappointed. Staff were the highlight. They were polite from the minute i walked through door and not once did they skip a beat with manners. It felt like being taken care of rather than waited on. They really help you settle in. They were quite engaged with any questions and i don't think my drink got less than a quarter full before it was replaced. The food was incredible! I went a little safe with the roast chicken but the flavours were very rich. I loved the new Golden Snitch treat. I'm not usually a fan of pear but found the flavours a delightful combination with the chocolate! I wish i could've had more cocktails but had a tattoo the next day. Great Cosmo though. It's really easy to kill a Cosmo with the orange and balance of liquers but this was pretty spot on. The atmosphere inside was very calm, sophisted and whimsical. If you like Harry Potter meets Cloud 9 kind of vibe, then this is is for you. I will definitely be back to try more on my next trip up and hopefully sample more of those cocktails!

We discovered this place by accident – with our finger on Google Maps... and the name caught our attention. The reviews were good, so why not try the unusual combination of duck and waffles. Thank you to the staff for their help in choosing, they were very nice and willing to advise, and it was clear that they knew their stuff. My husband ordered what the name suggests, and I had to try the recommended 3-course menu. The taste was fabulous, and the fries are the best I've had in the city so far! I wish you satisfied customers at least as satisfied as I was

Daniel is very helpful and friendly. Professional services. Food is good we ordered vegetarian duck , it is mushroom in tempura and beef tartar is amazing. That’s us a great place for having a drink with a group of friends on Friday night as well.

We were blown away by the decor and atmosphere when we stepped in. It was so cute and lovely that I wish we could have stayed longer. We had the duck and waffles which was to die for. I can see why they are famous for that one dish. The service was great (and also included in the tab), everyone we spoke to was very kind so I don't mind. Thea was our host who seated us and she had such a great positive attitude that really made our day.

Delicious family brunch at Duck & Waffle. Corn Ribs, Polenta Croquettes and Giant Pigs in Blankets to start - ribs were the favourite. Lobster Rolls, Duck Waffles and Duck Benedict followed. Everything was delicious and very nicely presented. A couple of very indulgent desserts finished us off - the Snitch dessert looks fantastic. Great service from Daniele who kept the drinks and duck related dishes flowing throughout.
